Michael The acoustic guitar is very mellow. I think that this style should be explored further. The acoustic version of Call On Me is interesting too. Favorite track: Fades Away.

True Friends 03:37
"True Friends" Coloring the lines From the outside shading in I looked outside the glass Saw the storm that's coming in The world can take a part of me today I've got plenty I can give Just don't be too hard on me I'm weak under the skin And all the bullshit people talk about It seems to never end In times like these I reach out to my close True Friends Direction changing course From places I have been No one could ever take away my shine Maybe some day they'll find their own And all the bullshit people fight about When will it ever end? In times like these I reach out to my close True Friends…True Friends

Hard To Say 02:46
"Hard To Say" You gave it all, yet question And wonder if it's all in vain But if you could find the words to say Would it matter anyway? Maybe a little, but it's hard to say… Hard to say Who made your heart feel like it's made of thin Recyclable old tin with skin and bones? And who made your eyes turn from bright to dim? And find yourself become like one of them So now you sit there all alone… Wondering if you've ever really ever known yourself And if you could find the words to say Would it matter anyway? Maybe a little, but it's hard to say… Hard to say

These Lies 04:02
"These Lies" If you think you can forget By not thinking at all And you tell yourself they're no good for you That's just trying to ease the fall And who knows just where this all will go? It seems all one the same If you stay strong enough You just might win this game But these are the lies These are the lies that can drive you insane These lies… Where will you turn to, who will you blame? For these lies As dark as the night, as bright as the day Do you let it ride, or risk it slipping away? You hope a sign might somehow let you know Make it easier to stay, or let it go And if they run away, that somehow tells you so But these are the lies These are the lies that can drive you insane These lies… Where will you turn to, who will you blame? For these lies If you've ever loved someone, But got lost in all your fear Stuck in every moment…but here And if you've ever been alone, When you didn't have to be Just to create doubt and mystery But these are the lies…lies lies lies These are the lies that can drive you insane And these are the lies… Where will you turn to, who will you blame? For these lies
4.
Already Know 04:12
"Already Know" Can we speak? Would it make a difference, Or should we walk and let it be? Torn between Living in a riddle, or moving on with destiny It's been a while, but that don't mean a thing When the stakes are high And the talk comes cheap It seems like the more that I try tp hold on The more it all seems to all slip away The less I speak, the more you say And I already know… I already know…I already know So, here you go again You're surrendering it all Yet your caught between The old day from the new But you find them far and few Between the scars And if it seems like the more That you try to hold on The more it all seems to all slip away The less you speak, the more I say And you already know… You already know…you already know Don't you notice the more We try to hold on The more it seems to slip away The less we speak, the more they say And we already know… We already know…we already know

Call On Me 03:00
"Call On Me" I fall on my knees Just to be close to God But I fall to the floor from your love I am weakened by your innocence And touched by your tenderness I search just to find that you're enough I'm here Call on me Everything You and me I will be your protector Guided by the light from heaven I will stand and never be undone Like a flame with a million hours Keeping warm this enchantment All that go inside this grace is yours I'm here Call on me Everything You and me
6.
Fades Away 02:53
"Fades Away" This little thought Of mine Gets to me every time The sky feels like it's falling And so do I Again I give, take, borrow, and steal Like riding a bike with no wheels Empty streets and one way signs No lights Out here And with you All of this fear fades away Fear fades away And with you All of this fear fades away Fear fades away

about

The Wil Martin Project is the acoustic solo project of singer/songwriter Wil Martin, vocalist and frontman of the modern rock band, Earshot. This six-song debut EP is a meticulously crafted, raw, moody, intimate blend of folk, rock and americana music styles. With simple, quiet yet quintessentially intense and focused vocals, Outlier: Volume One is a beautifully intelligent, bare bones, poetic introspective that reveals the artist in all of his rich complexity.

*This digital album offers buyers the option of downloading high quality audio file formats (such as WAV and FLAC audio files), or standard MP3 audio files, along with Digital Liner Notes (which include album credits as well as lyrics sheets), that are ONLY offered and available through this store front. Unlike iTunes, which sells lower quality AAC audio files, or Amazon Digital, which sells lower quality MP3 audio files, a WAV audio file is sonically superior to both, and is the file type used to create Compact Disc's.

about

The Wil Martin Project Los Angeles, California

Songs are both flashes of inspiration and thoughts that come slowly, quietly at first. They’re fleeting moments. Always moving. The duality of myself as an artist is that often my ideas manifest into the loud, crushing rock anthems or, they manifest into something barely more audible than a whisper, connecting with what’s deeper, below the surface.
